Q:  What were your thoughts when you first saw the script?
Sam Huntington:  It sounded like the set up for a joke, doesn’t it? I’m glad my agents didn’t tell me it was originally a British series, because I probably would have passed on auditioning for it.

Q:  Why is that?
Sam Huntingon:  It’s very hard to adapt a great British TV series. Look at the British version of “The Office.” That is some of the best television ever produced. It is in a class all by itself and can’t be touched. When I heard they were remaking it for NBC, I was mortified. And yet, the U.S. version is also a very good TV show. But it is different. They are two different beasts. Fortunately for “Being Human,” the North American writers took that to heart. We did our due diligence in terms of honoring the British series –especially in the first season. Now that we’ve just wrapped our third season, we are our own entity, though. And that is how it should be, really.

From Human US

“Get ready for more adventures of your favorite ghost/vampire/werewolf trio. Syfy has renewed Being Human for a fourth season.

The announcement is particularly welcome news for fans of the supernatural drama who were left with some tantalizing cliffhangers when Being Human‘s third season aired its finale earlier this week. The show is based on the British series of the same name, which recently aired its series finale on BBC Three.

Syfy had several announcements about upcoming programming today surrounding the cable network’s New York upfront presentation.”

Sam Huntington and Kristen Hager - Being Human US
“Huntington is a New Hampshirenative, whose credits include working alongside Gene Simmons in DETROIT ROCK CITY and playing Jimmy Olsen in SUPERMAN RETURNS; he teamed again with that film’s Brandon Routh in DYLAN DOG: DEAD OF NIGHT. Hager, from Ontario, Canada, has been a regular in a number of Canadian series and appeared in features including WANTED and ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM.

In real life, Huntington and Hager appear to genuinely be the best of friends, running with each other’s ideas during an interview in the midst of the Television Critics Association press tour.”

From an interview with Meaghan Rath on (read full interview here)

Yeah, I do – I just finished shooting a film called THE WHITE BUFFALO. It’s a small little indie. Sam Huntington plays my husband. It’s really just a beautiful script and it’s about a guy who’s married to a younger woman, so that’s me and Sammy, and he takes me to this bed and breakfast for the weekend to rekindle their romance that’s gone stale, and the woman that’s managing the bed and breakfast and who owns it is one of his ex-girlfriends who he’s been secretly obsessed with for years, and Emmanuelle Chriqui plays her. It’s really a lovely movie.

Plot Synopsis:
A young couple’s romantic weekend is turned upside down when the husband’s ex-girlfriend, a woman he’s secretly obsessed with, is running the ski lodge where they’re staying. The White Buffalo is a comedic drama/anti-date/romantic comedy about ‘the one that got away.’ The film explores how fantasy inspires and pollutes our lives. When Carl’s ultimate temptress presents herself, he questions the notion of true love and the power of sexual impulse.  For more information check out Pat Kiely’s Twitter post.
